Heart Children Awareness Week was held from 24th – 30th May 2004. During Awareness Week, Heart Children New Zealand members and parents, along with staff from Principal Sponsor, Bank of New Zealand, co-ordinated a variety of awareness and fundraising activities.
In 2003, Heart Children Awareness Week was successful in raising over $520,000. This year we hope to raise in excess of $600,000
Monies raised during Heart Children Awareness Week will go towards providing essential services to heart children and their families. Heart Children will also allocate some of the funds raised towards the setting up of a Research Foundation into identifying and treating congenital heart conditions.
