Heart Kids Week
Heart Children Awareness Week is held annually at the end of May. During Awareness Week, Heart Children New Zealand members and parents, co-ordinate a variety of awareness and fundraising activities.
Heart Children New Zealand hopes to raise significant funds to provide essential services for Heart Children and their families and to develop and support a national network of family support workers. These people assist Heart Children and their families when they return home from hospital and attempt to resume their normal lives.
A number of events are held for different parts of the country, including charity luncheons featuring national celebrities, and Heart Stopper Challenges throughout the country. Memorial Services are also held for those Heart Children who have succumbed to their illnesses, and a Street Appeal is held on on the Friday of Awareness Week.

Donations to Heart Children New Zealand can be made at any time at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand, or by texting HEART to 469 (to make a $3 donation), phoning 0900-4 HEART (0900-443 278), to donate $20, or online through this website: www.heartchildren.org.nz
