Family Support Worker, Dunedin -

5 hours per week

Heart Children NZ is seeking a Family Support Worker in Dunedin.

Essential qualities for this position would include excellent listening and interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a wide range of families and health professionals and able to work both independently and as part of the Team.

Experience working with families, children and communities within the health sector would be an advantage, as is computer access and literacy. The successful candidates will need their own car to visit families and attend meetings as required.

Major Gifts Fundraiser, Auckland -

30 - 40 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, bright and eloquent communicator to focus on the rewarding field of major gifts. This specialised area will concentrate on securing gifts of over $5,000 from trusts & foundations, bequests and individuals.

The key qualities we are looking for are:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high standard of presentation in both.

  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Knowledge of different fundraising methods.

  • A proactive self-starter able to work well as part of a team.

  • Confident in relationship management and face-to-face communication.

  • Able to manage concurrent projects, prioritising deadlines and activities effectively and always keeping the relevant people informed.

  • Good research skills and the ability to identify new contacts and prospects using sound methods.

  • Good level of computer literacy.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
